We are excited to announce Rihla Atlas, a new resource I am currently developing to help researchers and policymakers gain an empirical understanding on evolving Sino-Middle East relations.
As many of you know, I recently launched Rihla Research & Advisory LLC. This has been a passion project I have worked toward for years as I have researched and written extensively on China, Asia, and the Middle East. This and
have been a proactive and deeply engaging way to interact with you on many topics of shared interest. Now, I am aiming to create new products and resources which help you connect with the content in engaging ways. The full site is not yet live, but I plan to roll it out in the coming weeks. The first product is an interaction dashboard of China’s mediation efforts since 2010.
For my followers on Coffee in the Desert, I am excited to give you all a first look below.

Jesse this looks so cool!!! Good luck🤩 would love to use it once it’s out. I’d amuse myself with the interactive map of China’s mediation efforts and simultaneously pray that my country will be humble enough to give China an opportunity to mediate the conflict, though it currently doesn’t look like it will truly happen. As the conflict between China and the US grows stronger, the leadership in Israel becomes more like a dictatorship, at less this is what it feels like as a civilian. I hope that this leadership will have the modesty to try and learn from China as well, not only the US. Keep on doing what you do, you have a huge fan here in Israel.
